SAFETY
Dedicated to Safety
As with all Subaru vehicles, the Subaru WRX subscribes to the brand’s unrelenting pursuit of ultimate vehicle safety. The WRX received a five-star rating from ANCAP and Subaru is also the only manufacturer in the world whose entire vehicle range has been awarded the Top Safety pick rating from the IIHS, which make them some of the safest vehicles on the planet.

"Remarkably more refined than any WRX before, yet still swift and agile enough to justify its performance car billing."

Safety equipment in every direction
From bumper to bumper, the Subaru WRX is loaded with safety equipment. The body has been designed around Subaru’s Ring-Shaped Reinforcement™ principle, a design which allows all other safety systems to provide ultimate passenger protection, including seven airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors and three-point seat belts.

Designed to reduce impact
|
With the likes of ABS with EBD and Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) with Active Torque Vectoring (ATV), the Subaru WRX is always on high alert to keep you on the road – be it tarmac or dirt.
|
Brake Assist helps you fully engage the brakes in an emergency and the new Brake Override can help you avoid a potential hazard by overriding the gas pedal if both the gas and brake pedals are pressed simultaneously.
|
The Subaru WRX’s structure is also designed to take as much of the impact away from occupants as possible. Crumple zones, strategic chassis reinforcement and the addition of high-tensile steel aid in reducing impact forces.
|
When an accident is inevitable, the Subaru WRX’s collapsible drivetrain has been designed to drop down beneath the vehicle, minimising its potential impact with- and intrusion into the cabin.
